Who will control the House?

Why Nancy Pelosi Thinks She Can Hold the House

Either Nancy Pelosi really does think her Democrats are going to do much, much better than expected at the polls in a little over a month -- or the House Speaker should have gone to Yale Drama and given La Streep some real
competition.Ever since White House press secretary Robert Gibbs first
suggested back in July that Democrats could lose the House, Pelosi has often seemed alone in her grasp of the fact that defeatism isn't energizing. Depressed Democrats don't rush the barricades, but stay home with the curtains drawn on Election Day, eating bowls of parsley potatoes and rereading Paul Krugman's funniest columns. Repeatedly, she's said, "We are not yielding one single grain of sand.'' And again on
Friday, she made her best case for the best-case scenario.

She ends with this.

All in all, she said in closing, "I would rather be where we are
than where they are...We passed bills everybody said were impossible,
too.''

I would call her delusional, but in reality, there really isn’t much else she could say.

The Leftist Rally on the Mall

“Basically, it was a Grievance Fest of different Leftist organizations for
this cause or that cause. It was also an opportunity to bash the "teabaggers"
(that homosexual slur was on a lot of signs), as well as promote Communism and
socialism. In other words, the most extreme element of the Left, far removed
from the American mainstream.”

Plenty of pictures of signs, trash left behind, etc. One thing that struck me was not how anti this protest was, but how there really wasn’t a common theme. It was a grievance fest as the author suggested.

You may or may not of heard of it, but a leftwing environmental group has produced what has to be the worst video supporting AGW in the history of the movement.

Emaciated polar bears clutching to melting icebergs. Smokestacks fading
to reveal wind turbines and clear air. These are the kinds of images you
typically see in a TV spot for climate change awareness or clean energy
use.

But exploding children?

That's precisely what's depicted in a new ad released Friday by
British clean energy group 10:10, ironically titled "No Pressure."

Carey Campbell, chairman of Virginia's Independent Green Party,
expressed shock when he heard a description of the video: "Holy cow, those
people are crazier than a loon! Drunk on moonshine!"

The video went viral Friday, but it soon appeared that 10:10 was the
one under pressure. Just hours after the film was posted, 10:10 removed the ad
from its website and issued an apology.
"With climate change becoming increasingly threatening, and decreasingly talked about in the media, we wanted to find a way to bring this critical issue back to the headlines whilst making people laugh," the statement read, so the group enlisted a comedy writer to put the concept together.

"Many people found the resulting film extremely funny, but
unfortunately some didn't and we sincerely apologise [sic] to anybody we have
offended."

Though the ad is no longer posted on 10:10's website, the group
said it would not attempt to "censor or remove" copies that exist elsewhere
online.

"Unfortunately in this instance we missed the mark," the mea culpa
continued. "Oh well, we live and learn."

Missed the mark? If you think killing people who disagree with you is funny, then you’ll love the video. If you want to see the video, you can here.
