Are you Better Off?

AAA Better off?
Best Quotes from RNC

“You, me…we own this country. Politicians are employees of ours….And when somebody does not do the job, we got to let them go.” Clint Eastwood

“Mom and Dad were married 64 years. And if you wondered what their secret was, you could have asked the local florist – because every day Dad gave Mom a rose, which he put on her bedside table. That’s how she found out what happened on the day my father died – she went looking for him because that morning, there was no rose.” Mitt Romney

Obama defines Sin

I think Obama is mixing up sin with bigotry.

Obama 2012:  Which do you find more troubling?

Which do you find more troubling?  Theeconomy or the change in his tone?

Clint Eastwood rattles the left

Eastwood’s routine at the RNC was devastating to the Democrats and President Obama in particular.  In fact, Obama felt compelled to answer his charge tweeting a picture of a chair with him in it.  Add to this the attacks by the left including his Hollywood buddies and you see that what he did was much more damaging than the press is making it out to be.

A Guide to Dog Whistles by the right

It appears white people don’t have a clue about just how many ways they are secretly being manipulated to be racist.  But this guide will help you understand just how prevalent this is.

One third of 25 to 34 year olds still live with their parents

This sounds like Obamacare hasn’t gone far enough.  It only lets your kids stay on your health insurance until they are 25.

This is truly a disaster.  Obama will probably lose both the parents and kids votes in these households.

Obama contribution to the subprime problem

“If you see some people don’t make enough money to afford the mortgage, why would you give them a loan?” asked Obama client John Buchanan. “There should be some type of regulation against giving people loans they can’t afford.”  Yet Mr. Obama’s 1995 mortgage discrimination lawsuit against Citibank for 186 African-American clients finds approximately ½ of them have gone bankrupt.  These kinds of reckless lawsuits appear to be just like his reckless policies and he drives up debt that no country can afford.

Samuelson grades Obama

For the first six months when he continued Bush’s policies, Samuelson gives Obama an A-; for the rest, a C- or D.  The grades for the rest of his term are bad because of the 8 million who lost their jobs during the crisis, only 4 million are back to work and the economy is growing at only 2.2 percent while normal growth for a recovery is 4.2 percent.

The Democrats and Head Office

Obama and the Democrats in talking about the economy reminds me of Rick Moranis character in the movie Head Office.  Look at the last 38 seconds of this clip, “It’s not my fault.”

Republicans move ahead of Democrats

For ten years now, Rasmussen has been studying partisan trends. Its latest survey indicates that, for the first time in that period, more Americans self-identify as Republicans than as Democrats. To be precise, 37.6% now think ofthemselves as Republicans — more than in September, 2004 — and only 33.3% self-identify as Democrats. What makes this especially interesting is that two years ago — on the eve of the Republican blowout in the 2010 midterm elections — 35% self-identified as Democrats and only 33.8% self-identified as Republicans.

This is just another reason to look at the Demographics when you look at polls.  They normally give the self-identification by party and most of the polls have Democrats up by 4-10 percent.

Obama:  Decline of America accelerating

“New income data from the Census Bureau reveal what a great job Barack Obama has done for the middle class as President. During his entire tenure in the oval office, median household income has declined by 7.3%. In January, 2009, the month he entered office, median household income was $54,983. By June, 2012, it had spiraled down to $50,964.”  Do we want to return to the failed policies of the past or continue the failed policies of the present?

How the Democrats will fill the stadium for Obama’s speech

College students from across North Carolina will arrive in Charlotte by the busload. Same with members of predominantly black churches in neighboring South Carolina.  So it only takes two states to fill a 74,000 seat stadium. Oh how O has fallen.

Are the Democrats bringing a knife to a gun fight?
I just read an article from the AP where the author was comparing the two visions.  While she tried to balance the article is was clear which side she was on.  But the problem with the article was that it was about social issues and this election will not be about social issues.  It is about the economy.  The Democrats keep trying to introduce social issues into the election because they know if it is about the economy, they’ve don’t have a chance.
