Another Bailout?

A Democratic senator is introducing legislation for a bailout of troubled
union pension funds. If passed, the bill could put another $165 billion in liabilities on the shoulders of American taxpayers.

The bill, which would put the Pension Benefit Guarantee Corporation behind struggling pensions for union workers, is being introduced by Senator Bob Casey, (D-Pa.), who says it will save jobs and help people.

Unions have been protected by the government bailout of the auto industry and given special status by the Democrats. Now this move by Bob Casey would make the taxpayer the sugar daddy for a select group of people. So when will the government give you and me back what we've lost in this recession?

Another leftist myth bites the dust

"A three-year study by Newcastle University has found that wild birds
are not swayed by the organic label, but instead prefer the more protein-rich, conventional food
that will help them to survive the winter.

"Our results suggest that the current dogma that organic food is
preferred to conventional food may not always be true,"
explains Dr
McKenzie, based in the School of Biology at Newcastle University.

"Protein is an essential nutrient in the diet of all birds and mammals
and getting enough of it -- especially in winter -- can be hard.

"We showed that when given free choice, wild birds opt for the conventional food over the organic, and the most likely explanation is its higher
protein content."

Now here is some more information for liberals. People prefer freedom over a cage of government benefits and government taxes.

Another poll shows people are against illegals

"A majority believe immigrants who are in the country illegally or
after their visas expire should be deported, even if they have family ties in the country, a newly released poll shows.

The national poll revealed that respondents didn’t make a distinction between “undocumented workers” and “workers without the proper work permits,” with nearly two-thirds coming down hard on illegal immigrants because they did not follow the rules."

Another example of Americans being jingoistic and racists? Not really. This poll was conducted by Citizenship and Immigration Canada. Prof. Peter Showler, director of the Refugee Forum at the University of Ottawa, said it is a “very high Canadian value” to oppose queue-jumping by anyone in the country, including immigrants.

Something different--Limbaugh says something liberals probably support.

Rush Limbaugh mocks Bill O’Reilly in book

"In a new
biography on sale Tuesday, Rush Limbaugh calls fellow conservative talk
show host Bill O’Reilly a “Ted Baxter”
— after the fictional character
on the “The Mary Tyler Moore Show” who was portrayed as a vain, shallow,
buffoonish TV newsman."
