2016 Obama’s America
I went to see this film over the weekend. It’s
an excellent film and the theater was probably 70% filled. Dinesh D'Souza has done an excellent job
laying out the story of Barack Obama. He treats Obama with respect, but tells us
many troubling aspects of his rise to power and more importantly what makes him
tick. It also begs the question what would a second term of Obama be like when
he has “more flexibility.”
I think what is
more even more important is the proof of
the strong turnout you can expect from Republicans this November. The movie looks to come in third for this
weekend behind The Expendables and the Bourne Legacy.
Washington
Post-ABC News poll
Washington Post-ABC News Poll from August 22-25 has Romney up by one
over Obama. However looking at the
demographics you see they interviewed 31
percent Democrats, 22 percent Republicans, and 39 percent independents. Another close poll with oversampled Democrats.
Being
Kind is better than being clever
One of the more heart-warming stories to
zoom around the Internet lately involves a young man, his dying grandmother,
and a bowl of clam chowder from Panera Bread. It's a little story that offers big lessons about service, brands, and the human side of business —
a story that underscores why efficiency should never come at the expense of
humanity.
Romney has big lead with Married
Women
According
to a new Washington Post/ABC’s new survey, married women are strongly backing
Mitt Romney, 55%-40%, over
Barack Obama.
Compare that with 2008 exit polls when Obama won married women with children, 51%-47%, while McCain won married women with no kids 53%-44%. Romney's 15% margin soundly beats both numbers.
Overall, Obama's current lead among all women (49%-43%) is thanks to his huge lead with unmarried women, 57%-32%. Romney has a bigger lead among men than Obama does among women. So when will the press start covering the real gender gap?

Republican women for Obama—Really?
The
Obama campaign is trying to perpetrate the same deception. It has just released
a video called Republican Women ForObama features four or five women who claim to be Republicans, or to have
been Republicans until recently. The
problem is we know at least one isn’t a
Republican. Among her “likes” on her Facebook page Denver Young
Democrats, Obamacare, Michelle Obama, Veterans for Obama, I love it when I wake
up in the morning and Obama is President, the Democratic Party, etc. A second woman in the commercial is her
mother with similar Facebook leanings.
Obama’s
Medicare Lies
President
Obama said during his weekly radio address today that he wanted to share “some actual facts” about “a lot of accusations
and misinformation flying around” about
Medicare. The problem is his actual facts are lies.
New
Obama Medicare Ad
What
do the Democrats do when the Medicare issue goes against them? That’s easy, they lie. Their latest ad is
packed with lies from the beginning to the end.
How
much stimulus do we need?
President Obama and the Democrats
keep talking about another stimulus. It appears to be
the only arrow they have left in their quiver.
But we’ve already had an $861
billion stimulus in 2009, deficit spending to the tune of over $5.5 trillion
from 2009 til today and the fed has done a QE1 and a QE2 (During QE1, the Fed
purchased $175 billion of agency
debt securities and $1.25 trillion of
mortgage-backed securities in addition to purchases of Treasuries while QE2
the
FOMC decided to expand its
balance sheet by $600 billion
through the purchase of Treasury securities.), but both investors and economists
agree: They don't want QE3.
It’s
time for a change.
Liberal
Fascism
The
latest news from Argentina has Argentine
President Cristina Fernandez's popularity sinking
to 30 percent in August. What caught
my eye was the fact that she is the head
of the Peronist party which has long be considered to be a fascist party. At the same time there is no doubt that Fernandez is a leftist. It appears all those leftists who claim fascism
is a party of the right don’t have their facts correct.
