A new CBS News poll finds that nearly seven in 10 Americans believe President Obama has not made real progress in fixing the economy.
Sixty-nine percent say the president has not made real progress on the economy, which voters overwhelmingly cite as their most important issue. Twenty-five percent say he has made real progress.
Perceptions are not improving. The percentage who said Mr. Obama has made real progress has dropped 10 points from a survey 13 months ago, when 35 percent said he had made real progress.
Just 35 percent of Americans approve of Mr. Obama's handling of the economy, and his approval rating on the issue has been below 40 percent since February….
Obama says he likes being the underdog. However with these kinds of numbers, he is simply the dog in this race.

… THE PERONS WERE THE OBAMAS OF THEIR DAY. They were popular, good looking, loved initially by the media, and socially progressive in a way that stood Argentina on its head. IN THE COURSE OF THEIR REIGN, THE PERONS MANAGED DEPLETE THE NATIONAL TREASURY, ALIENATE BUSINESS AND FOREIGN (ESPECIALLY BRITISH) INVESTORS BY NATIONALIZING INDUSTRIES, PUSHED FOR HIGHER TAXES ON THE RICH, CREATED AN ENTIRE CLASS OF PEOPLE DEPENDENT OF GOVERNMENT HANDOUTS, AND ALIGN ARGENTINA WITH THE FASCISTS AND NAZIS (both forms of Socialism) during the Second World War. During this time Evita was spending public monies on clothes, jewelry, and European tours, justified as the price of being the "Spiritual Leader of the Nation" as she was later christened after her death. All the while her supporters where marching on the homes of opponents and destroying the offices of newspapers critical to the regime. Notwithstanding, the Perons did embrace the Suffragette movement and created a national identity for Argentina in the post-World War Two era, but for a price.
This leads me to the recent pronouncements in Raleigh, North Carolina, where the Chief Executive need to feel, to quote a song from Evita, "High flying, adored!" IT IS HARD NOT TO SEE OBAMA'S NEED FOR ADORATION EVERY TIME HE PREACHES TO THE MASSES CALLING FOR MORE AUSTERITY FROM BUSINESSES AND THE MIDDLE CLASS, WHILE THE FIRST COUPLE VACATIONS AT MARTHA'S VINEYARD AND HAWAII (not that there is anything wrong with either place mind you!). What good for thee is not good for me appears to be the Obama mindset. The President has taken a page right out of Evita: tax millionaires, spread the wealth, vilify investors, embrace international terrorist states/organizations, and hype the masses into putting on their "marching shoes" to encourager les autres! All the while, creating a cult of personality that has people and the media believing he is a living god who can stop the oceans from rising….
This was an interesting comparison between Evita and Barack.

….President Obama also said: "THIS IS NOT CLASS WARFARE; IT IS MATH." Okay, let's do some simple math. LET'S LOOK AT WHAT COULD HAVE BEEN DONE WITH THE $535 MILLION IN TAXPAYER DOLLARS THAT OBAMA "INVESTED" IN JUST THAT ONE SOLYNDRA DEAL ALONE. If you were to take the salary of one gardener who has 45 clients at $80 each per month, his earnings would add up to 3,600 per month, or $43,200 per year. This means that if THE $535 MILLION THAT WAS CARELESSLY WASTED ON THE SOLYNDRA DEAL HAD BEEN LEFT IN THE HANDS OF THE TAXPAYERS, IT THEORETICALLY COULD HAVE BEEN USED TO PAY THE ANNUAL SALARY OF ABOUT 12,384 GARDENERS. How does that stack up to the 1,100 who just lost their jobs at the luxurious Solyndra plants that built solar panels for twice the amount that they were able to sell them for?
IT LOOKS MORE LIKE WE'RE SWAPPING TEMPORARY "GREEN JOBS" FOR REAL "GREEN JOBS" and at an exchange rate that is much, much less than desirable. And that is only the tip of the iceberg when you look into the green energy dealings of the Obama administration. THE ADMINISTRATION HAS JUST APPROVED ANOTHER $5 BILLION (OR ABOUT 115,740 GARDENERS FOR REFERENCE) IN LOAN GUARANTEES FOR THESE TYPES OF PROGRAMS, including one to an enterprise that Nancy Pelosi’s brother-in-law is tied to (can you spell c-r-o-n-y?). And as I write, there is new news that the $500-million green jobs training program came up short on its go…
An interesting analogy that shows you want a stupid caretaker of the people’s money Obama and the Democrats actually are.

“New documents obtained by CBS News show ATTORNEY GENERAL ERIC HOLDER WAS SENT BRIEFINGS ON THE CONTROVERSIAL FAST AND FURIOUS OPERATION AS FAR BACK AS JULY 2010. That directly contradicts his statement to Congress,” msnbcnews.com reports. “On May 3, 2011, Holder told a Judiciary Committee hearing, ‘I’M NOT SURE OF THE EXACT DATE, BUT I PROBABLY HEARD ABOUT FAST AND FURIOUS FOR THE FIRST TIME OVER THE LAST FEW WEEKS.’ Yet internal Justice Department documents show that at least ten months before that hearing, Holder began receiving frequent memos discussing Fast and Furious.” HOLDER NOW CLAIMS HE “MISUNDERSTOOD” THE “WHEN DID YOU FIRST KNOW ABOUT F&F” QUESTION . . .
Well he would say that, wouldn’t he? Lying to a Congressional committee is called perjury, an offense for which Holder may be impeached and, yes, prosecuted. His career is toast and his peeps are in full damage control mode. IN THE LAST FEW HOURS, THEY’VE OFFERED THREE EXCUSES FOR HIS DEMONSTRABLY FALSE TESTIMONY….
