Short and Sweet

What’s New Today

Story #1 relates another botched job by Obama operatives.  #2 is about how the AFL-CIO has decided not to give their usual financial backing to the Democratic Party.

Today’s Thoughts

Darrell Issa’s expose on what Obama considers a green job included not only an antique dealer and a Salvation Army employee, but even an oil lobbyist.

Ruth Bader Ginsberg has told us something we already know.  She said the ruling on the Healthcare law will show “sharp disagreement.”  Well we are glad to learn that tidbit.

The Romney Road Show

Political stunts are just that, stunts.  But when they don’t work, you don’t expect the people who pulled them to try to publicize them.  The picture to the left show the crowd that gathered in Scranton PA to protest Mitt Romney’s plans which according to the protester would throw the middle class under the bus.  A total of 12 protestors appear to have shown up.

When it rains it pours

The AFL-CIO has told Washington Whispers it will redeploy funds away from political candidates smack dab in the middle of election season, the latest sign that the largest federation of unions in the country could be becoming increasingly disillusioned with President Obama.

The federation says the shift has been in the works for months, and had nothing to do with the president's failure to show in Wisconsin last week, where labor unions led a failed recall election of Governor Scott Walker.

"We wanted to start investing our funds in our own infrastructure and advocacy," AFL-CIO spokesman Josh Goldstein told Whispers. "There will be less contributions to candidates," including President Obama….

I think Obama will need to start going to 8 fund raisers a day with this news.
