Lies My President told Me

What’s new Today

Story #1 we start looking at the lies surrounding the 44th President of the United States beginning with his book Dream from My Father.  #2 is about the lies and relates the grand deal from last September.  #3 highlights how BHO now seems to be in bed with big oil.  Not really, but he wants to appear to be.  #4 has Lord Monckton talking about Obama’s birth certificate.  He thinks it is a forgery.  #5 separates what Obama told us about the stimulus when he was selling it and what actually happened.  #6 lets you know why we are hearing about the ‘war on women.’  Evidently calling someone a racists doesn’t work anymore.  #7 I veer off the Lies theme to look at what the Senate contests look like this year.  It’s not good for the Democrats.

1.  Dreams from My Father

In this much ballyhooed season of "vetting," please allow me to zero in anew on Barack Obama's Achilles heel -- namely, his willingness to take credit for a book that he did not write in any meaningful way. This would be the book on which his genius myth is founded: his 1995 memoir, Dreams from My Father.

From early on, I have argued that terrorist emeritus Bill Ayers, a skilled writer and editor, is the primary craftsman behind Dreams. Thanks to the video interview of mailman Allen Hulton by WND's Jerome Corsi, we have a clearer picture of why Ayers would have invested so much time in this project and how he might have been reimbursed…

An interesting piece which goes illustrates how Obama as basically a fictional character created by the left for the purpose he is playing today.  Certainly Ayers was not just a guy in Obama’s neighborhood.

2.  Lies From My President

This past Sunday, the Washington Post ran a lengthy front-page article on Obama's machinations during the debt ceiling debate last summer. Rush Limbaugh spent a considerable amount of his on-air time Monday discussing one of the highlights of the piece: Barack Obama deliberately lied to the American people concerning the intransigence of the Republicans in the House of Representatives. The fact that a pillar of the sycophantic mainstream media would publish a story claiming that their hero lied is amazing….

…. The reality is that to Barack Obama. lying, aka "spin," is normal behavior. There is not a speech or an off-the cuff comment since he entered the national stage that does not contain some falsehood or obfuscation. A speech on energy made last week and repeated on March 22 is reflective of this mindset. He is now attempting to portray himself as being in favor of drilling in order to increase oil production and approving pipeline construction, which stands in stark contrast to his stated and long-term position on energy and reiterated as recently as three weeks ago. This is a transparent and obvious ploy to once again fool the American people by essentially lying to them.

The performance by Barack Obama last August as referenced by the Washington Post was such an obvious and egregious falsehood that it could no longer be ignored. Yet there has been five years of outright lies and narcissism that have been largely ignored by the media, including some in the conservative press and political class who are loath to call Mr. Obama what he is, in the bluntest of terms, a liar and a fraud. That he relies on his skin color to intimidate, either outright or by insinuation, those who oppose his radical agenda only adds to his audacity. It is apparent that he has gotten away with his character flaws his entire life, aided and abetted by the sycophants around him; thus, he is who he is and cannot change.

Obama’s disciples won’t admit this but the truth is coming out.  His latest claims that he has increased drilling in the USA so egregious that no one with any character could believe him.

On NPR's "Marketplace" radio program, President Obama said this:

"Obviously we wish Solyndra hadn't gone bankrupt. Part of the reason they did was the Chinese were subsidizing their solar industry and flooding the market in ways Solyndra couldn't compete. But understand, this was not our program per se."

That would come as a surprise - per se - to Solyndra who knew they were getting a loan guarantee from the Obama administration who was using monies appropriated in the stim bill…

There is an old saying, victory has 1000 fathers, defeat is an orphan.  Evidently President Obama subscribes to this.  He’s trying to take credit for increased drilling and he’s trying to place the blame for Solyndra on the Bush Administration.

3.  Selling Snake Oil

After blocking the Keystone XL pipeline from Canada and watching helplessly as gas prices soar, President Obama yesterday posed in front of an oil storehouse in Oklahoma — and tried to convince America that he’s an oilman at heart.

“We are drilling all over the place right now,” insisted Obama, as he stood in front of a stack of massive pipes for a new pipeline that will run from storehouses in Cushing, Okla., to refineries in Texas.

That will be the southern leg of the Keystone XL pipeline from Canada to Texas, which Obama blocked just weeks ago, citing environmental concerns.

The oil company TransCanada decided to build the southern leg anyway because it doesn’t cross an international border and, therefore, doesn’t need Obama’s approval.

The president, on a two-day trip to promote his energy policies, still tried to grab credit.

He announced that he would “cut through red tape, break through bureaucratic hurdles and make this project a priority.”

Obama’s action won’t shorten the timeline for the project, which already was scheduled to start as soon as June, according to TransCanada…

Obama is counting on the public being very gullible and very stupid.  But in the internet age, all this proves is the Obama is the gullible one

4.  Lord Monckton mocks Obama’s birth certificate

On Dennis Miller’s radio show Thursday Lord Christopher Monckton, a former policy adviser to British Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher and an activist against global warming “alarmism,” went all-in on questioning President Barack Obama’s citizenship.

Monckton, the 3rd Viscount Monckton of Brenchley, hinted about his position on the issue in April 2010 at a tea party rally on the National Mall near the White House. But on Miller’s show, he said the birth certificate issue was far more important that combatting so-called anthropogenic global warming.

“I mean, hey you got a president who has a false birth certificate on the Internet, on the White House website,” Monckton said. “It’s not even clear where he was born. You’ve got a national debt which is rising into the stratosphere. You’ve got unemployment certainly here in California at 11 percent, 50 percent in the construction industry. These are real problems. You’ve got real environmental problems — overfishing, deforestation, pollution, not so much in the west but certainly in other countries. These are real problems which ought to be addressed. You’ve got poverty. You’ve got disease. These are again serious problems in Africa for instance, that we could be helping with. But no, we’re obsessed with making the rich even richer and making the absolute bankers richer still by going for global warming and cap-and-trade and other nonsenses of this kind.”

Miller protested by saying he disagreed with the suggestion that Obama has a fraudulent birth certificate. But Monckton dug in his heels.

“I don’t know whether he is Kenyan or not,” Monckton said. “The point is that if I were you, I would want to make absolutely sure that he was born here before allowing him to be elected. And the birth certificate that he put up on that website, I don’t know where he was born. But I do know that birth certificate isn’t genuine.”…

You are hearing more and more about the birth certificate having discrepancies.  I do think Obama is a Natural born American citizen, but I think he is hiding something.

5.  Lies about the Stimulus

When President Obama signed his economic stimulus plan into law on February 17, 2009, he promised it “includes help for those hardest hit by our economic crisis,” and “As a whole, this plan will help poor and working Americans.”

But the newest data on how the stimulus money was given out across the 50 states and the District of Columbia shows a perverse pattern: The states hardest hit by the recession received the least money. States with higher bankruptcy, foreclosure, and unemployment rates got less money. And lower-income states also received less.

Rather than helping out those in the toughest shape, it looks like Democrats ended up helping their supporters, including unions and many very wealthy supporters.

According to the Obama administration’s, a total of $504 billion of federal contracts, grants, and loans to states and territories were awarded between February 17, 2009, and December 31, 2011. The amounts vary a lot across states, with the very lowest at $978 per capita in Virginia and the highest at $2,495 per capita in Alaska. The District of Columbia is the real winner at a whopping $7,603.

The transfers to the states having the least economic problems were large. The following relationships were statistically significant:

-- Each additional $1,000 in a state’s per-capita income resulted, on average, in the state getting $86 more per capita in stimulus funds.

-- States with higher bankruptcy rates got less, not more, money—roughly $67 less per person for each percentage point increase in the state’s bankruptcy rate.

This is what you get with crony government giving out money.

6.  5 Reasons Charging Racism doesn’t seem to work anymore

Because of slavery (Democrats did it), KKK violence (Democrats did it), segregation (Democrats did it), Jim Crow laws (Democrats did it) and other historic abuses heaped on black Americans in our country by the Democratic Party and its supporters, America has been a bit oversensitive about race for the last few decades. Of course, the political party responsible for all of that racism is now the one shouting, "You're a racist," and trying to pit different racial groups against each other. That might seem ironic at first glance, but if you think about it, it's actually par for the course. Since its founding, the Democratic Party has always tried to generate racial strife; it just uses a little different strategy today than it did in the past. Unfortunately for Democrats, the race card just doesn't work as well as it did in the good old days. There was a time when a condemnation by Jesse Jackson or Al Sharpton produced actual fear as opposed to eye rolls and laughter. It wasn't so long ago that being called racist was a threat, as opposed to just being more of an annoyance today. That has only changed in the last few years for a few select reasons…

I guess the republican war on women is being trotted out because the charge of racism is so ineffective these days.

7.  The Senate Races for 2012

To understand the full dimensions of the coming Republican landslide, one need look no further than the Senate races around the country. Because the presidential race is obscured by the heat of the Republican primary, the scale of the coming upheaval is less evident in presidential polling. But a survey of the key Senate races suggests not just a GOP victory but a total rout.

According to the usually very reliable polling by Scott Rasmussen, Republican candidates are currently leading their Democratic opponents in seven races for seats currently held by Democrats. (Florida, Missouri, Nebraska, Montana, North Dakota, Ohio, and Wisconsin) A gain of seven seats would, of course, give the GOP 54 senators.

In addition, there is one tie-race — Virginia — and two races where Republicans are almost tied (New Mexico and Michigan).

On the other hand, Republicans are far ahead in their efforts to keep their seats in Texas and Arizona and somewhat ahead in Nevada.

In Massachusetts, the greatest vulnerability for the Republican incumbents, Scott Brown is nursing a lead over Warren….

Morris is looking at a landslide in the Senate for the Republicans.  I think the election will be a disaster for the Democrats including BHO’s loss to Mitt Romney.  But that isn’t my prediction.  My prediction is that after Obama loses, the left will immediately attribute it to racism.
